The Nettle Dress
"The Nettle Dress" is a documentary film, directed by Dylan Howitt about textile artist Allan Brown, who spent seven years making a dress by hand just from the fibre of locally foraged stinging nettles. A modern-day fairytale about how he survives the death of his wife with the healing power of nature and slow craft to honour her. An incredible story, which justified shooting these portraits on my last stock of 5 x 4 Polaroid.
